CostLatch Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective: 16 Oct 2026
CostLatch is operated by Dennis Yates trading as CostLatch (ABN 52 137 373 213), Anna Bay NSW, Australia. Contact: support@costlatch.com.
Payments are processed by Stripe through its Managed Payments service, with Stripe acting as merchant of record. Your receipts come from Stripe (Link), and your statement may show "LINK.COM*".
Free 7-day trial (Solo)
- New customers can try Solo free for 7 days. A card is required up front, and you are not charged during the trial.
- If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you'll be charged US$19 plus applicable tax on the trial end date, and then every month until you cancel. That date is shown at checkout and in your confirmation email.
- We (CostLatch) email you a reminder on day 5 of your trial with the charge date, the amount, and a link to cancel. It's the only trial-ending reminder you'll receive. If it doesn't reach you, you're still covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee on your first charge.
- Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
- One trial per customer and per card. We can only check this after checkout. If you've had a trial before, we may cancel the new trial subscription without charging you and email you to let you know. You can then subscribe without a trial.
Prices and currency
Prices are set in US dollars. At checkout, Stripe may show and charge the price converted into your local currency; the amount shown at checkout is the amount charged.
Automatic renewal
- Solo (US$19/month) and Pro (US$39/month), plus applicable tax, renew automatically every month until you cancel. You are charged at the start of each billing period.
- Before you sign up we show the price, the trial length (if any), the date of your first charge, the fact that it renews monthly, and how to cancel, and we ask you to agree. We then email a confirmation that includes the same information.
- We email you at least 30 days before any price increase.
How to cancel
- Online, any time: Dashboard → Manage billing (Stripe customer portal) → Cancel subscription. You can also cancel through your Link account, or email support@costlatch.com and we'll do it for you. You don't need to call anyone or give a reason.
- During a trial: cancelling means you won't be charged at all.
- Paid plan: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and the Service keeps working until then. You won't be charged again.
- You'll receive an email confirming your cancellation.
- After cancellation your stored provider keys are deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. You should also revoke the key at your provider.
Refunds
- 7-day money-back guarantee: if you ask within 7 days of your first paid charge, we'll refund that charge in full, no questions asked. That includes your first charge after a free trial ends. It applies once per customer.
- Change of mind after that: we don't refund part-used billing periods when you change your mind. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- When we will refund:
- you were charged in error, or charged after cancelling (including after cancelling during a trial);
- we materially reduce your plan's core features, or stop the Service, in which case you get a pro-rata refund of the unused period;
- the Service has a major failure, or as otherwise required by law (see below).
- Your legal rights: our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure you're entitled to cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. For a failure that is not major, we will fix it within a reasonable time, or, if we don't, you can get a refund. Consumers in other countries have similar non-excludable rights, including statutory cooling-off periods where they apply. Nothing in this policy limits these rights.
- Provider charges: OpenAI and Anthropic usage is billed by those providers, not by us, and we can't refund it. Our liability is set out in our Terms.
- How to ask: email support@costlatch.com with your account email, or contact Link support (support.link.com). Refunds are paid to your original payment method by Stripe, including any tax you paid, usually within 5–10 business days.
